I love all things biomechanics and (way too many) things engineering related. I got my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, focusing on biomechanics with a little biomedical engineering on the side.
I recently completed my master’s in mechanical engineering with a focus on solid mechanics and orthopedic implants. The switch in fields was a *little* rough (hi there Matlab, stress-strain diagrams, and teaching programming while learning it myself to stay 1 week ahead of my students!). However, the image processing/Matlab and general research skills that I gained along the way have led to my current (awesome!) job as a research engineer in orthopaedic imaging.
